Climate Change glossary

International News — for those of you just landing from your return journey from Mars.

There is a huge world meeting on the Environment in Copenhagen, Denmark which ends this Friday. He HIMSELF will attend — showing up, no doubt, to claim credit if there is any progress.

The BBC has a climate change glossary.

I looked up “cap and trade”:

Cap and trade – An emission trading scheme whereby businesses or countries can buy or sell allowances to emit greenhouse gases via an exchange.

The volume of allowances issued adds up to the limit, or cap, imposed by the authorities.

Cap and Trade is one way that supposedly the poor Nations can use to earn money for their country — since in theory they emit fewer green house gasses.
