The battle over women’s bodies continues. The full impact of what 0bama and his fellow democrats are doing to control women’s choice haven’t become obvious to most women yet.
• The management of fertility is one of the most important functions of adulthood. Germaine Greer
The US has apparently been taken over by a Religious cult that most people have never heard of. That’s the only explanation I have for the wall between church and state now being bull dozed by 0bama and his gang of thugs.
In order for women to manage our fertility we need information and access to birth control. But in America women apparently are the property of the State.
The founding Fathers who wrote the Constitution put up a wall of separation between Church and State because they saw the dangers of a religious dogma mixed with the POWER of the State. In Uganda we are seeing the effects of a religious belief being used against homosexuals. It is a fact that homosexuality isn’t a life style choice as the homophobic Christians are claiming. When one group can be targeted because of their biology, then any group can be deemed an enemy of the state.
Mr. 0bama signed an Presidential Order (Executive Order) which reinforces a RELIGIOUS dogma of a extreme minority. Women’s bodies were formally annexed by the U.S. Government. Well not all women ONLY the fertile women. The Government of the US will NOT use Government (taxpayer) money to pay for abortion and the extremist Christian Taliban wants to make damned sure that women can’t use their own money to pay for a procedure that should be the choice of women only.
Sorry men — but when you are the ones who get pregnant then and ONLY then can you open your yap on this subject. The goal the elite Fundamentalist is to control the POWER of the United States by taking the seemingly benign route of ministering to the religious needs of the corporate elite and politically powerful.
GW Bush was at least open and public about his religious belief and that he was “saved” from his alcoholic path by the Rev. Billy Graham. GW Bush dutifully carried forward the agenda of the Christian Taliban and by signing restrictive gag rules and anti choice bills and Presidential signing orders. GW Bush also halted most stem cell research because of the primitive world view of the Christian Taliban.
It seems so strange that one of the major goals of the Christian Taliban is to control women. Why does their faith require men to hate women? This isn’t a simple distrust of the opposite sex — this is full out hatred and control of women. Men want to control the one thing they cannot do. Women can produce life. Women can produce life and in fact we really don’t need men. That doesn’t mean that most of us hate men. That fact is that most women see men as human beings, slightly flawed humans, because men seem to think with their balls more often then they use their brains and commons sense.
When women get pregnant because they had sex that they might even have enjoyed — that’s when the Christian Taliban’s hatred of women is triggered. Pregnant women trigger a rage response in the Christian Taliban. The proof of the Christian Taliban’s hatred of women and their children is in the fact that so many women in the US die due to maternity related causes. Women aren’t getting the health care they need during their pregnancies.
The Christian Taliban showed its hand during the battle of the Men’s Health Care Bill, they wanted to make sure that women would be blocked from access to basic health care. The Christian Taliban didn’t use their voice and power to make certain that the FETUS they worship was cared for, no they opted for full control of fertile women’s bodies.
Amnesty International . . . “in a new report on pregnancy and childbirth care in the U.S., Amnesty details the maternal-health care crisis in this country as part of a systemic violation of women’s rights. The report, titled “Deadly Delivery,” notes that the likelihood of a woman’s dying in childbirth in the U.S. is five times as great as in Greece, four times as great as in Germany and three times as great as in Spain. Every day in the U.S., more than two women die of pregnancy-related causes, with the maternal mortality ratio doubling from 6.6 deaths per 100,000 births in 1987 to 13.3 deaths per 100,000 births in 2006. (And as shocking as these figures are, Amnesty notes that the actual number of maternal deaths in the U.S. may be a lot higher, since there are no federal requirements to report these outcomes and since data collection at the state and local levels needs to be improved.) “In the U.S., we spend more than any country on health care, yet American women are at greater risk of dying from pregnancy-related causes than in 40 other countries,” says Nan Strauss, the report’s co-author, who spent two years investigating the issue of maternal mortality worldwide. “We thought that was scandalous.”
According to Amnesty, which gathered data from many sources, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately half of the pregnancy-related deaths in the U.S. are preventable, the result of systemic failures, including barriers to accessing care; inadequate, neglectful or discriminatory care; and overuse of risky interventions like inducing labor and delivering via cesarean section. “Women are not dying from complex, mysterious causes that we don’t know how to treat,” says Strauss. “Women are dying because it’s a fragmented system, and they are not getting the comprehensive services that they need.”
The report notes that black women in the U.S. are nearly four times as likely as white women to die from pregnancy-related causes, although they are no more likely to experience certain complications like hemorrhage.
If the Christian Taliban really cared about women and children they would be putting pressure on the Democrats to provide Universal Health care for ALL. But what these hate filled Christian Taliban want is to make sure that sex is controlled. To them sex must mean power and women can only be treated to sex if and when they have a husband. Making sure that each man has a wife and that the men know how to control their women seems to be one of the major objectives of the Christian Taliban. Just as control of the women is one of the major objectives of the Islamic Taliban. In Uganda the Taliban has taken their hatred a step further by outlawing homosexuals, forcing reporting of suspect homosexuals and execution of homosexuals. The leadership of Uganda has responded well to the ministry of the Family and of Rick Warren.
Remember Rick Warren? He’s the pastor of the Fundamentalist Church which hosted a debate between Mr. 0bama and Senator McCain. It was in this debate that Mr. 0bama made this remark:
WARREN: . . . . Now, let’s deal with abortion; 40 million abortions since Roe v. Wade. As a pastor, I have to deal with this all of the time, all of the pain and all of the conflicts. I know this is a very complex issue. Forty million abortions, at what point does a baby get human rights, in your view?
OBAMA: Well, you know, I think that whether you’re looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity, you know, is above my pay grade.
0bama as usual blathered on, trying to please both sides. But “is above my pay grade” was a message to the Christian Taliban. And on election day the Taliban either stayed home or in Colorado the Taliban came out and voted for their guy – 0bama. When I heard those words I knew that he was worshiping the god of power, the god of the Christian Taliban.
The only right that women are specifically given in the US Constitution is the RIGHT TO VOTE. I own my vote and I will use or with hold my vote based on the record of the candidates. I voted for McCain because I knew that McCain was more liberal than 0bama. If I had that choice again I would still vote for McCain — I was right in November 2008 and I am still correct in my judgment of 0bama today. 0bama is a con man and he will sell anyone out who gets in his way. The Republicans aren’t any better.
As the political season heats up again — I have no favorites. They are all corrupt and all have sold out to the highest bidder and that isn’t the voters and taxpayers.
