Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Shall we go into the New Year remembering just exactly why the founding fathers and mothers separated themselves from their British overlords? Where is the free press — where are the investigative journalists — seems like many have escaped to other countries.
Let us remember the bravery of the reporters and whistle blowers who believe in truth telling — and let us also remember the truth tellers who have died in the line.
Do we Americans live in a free country? Who are the real enemies of our freedom? Just asking — the answer is out there.
The major fights for our rights in the next year — TPP and the similar trade/treaty with Atlantic trade partners.
We can expect to hear more about NSA spying. I am expecting studies on how private communication has changed since Edward Snowdowns whistle blowing on NSA etc and their “collect everything” on everyone using any form of digital communication.
Then we will also be reading more of the arrogance of the British Politicians — and their continued attempts to muzzle the British press. Spectator blog — David Cameron: the press may regret its defiance over regulation (Cameron — what a pissant of a pompous ass.) Harvard Grad 0bama isn’t much better — his administration (with 0bama’s blessing) has prosecuted MORE whistle blowers than all Presidents combined. So much for the “Constitutional” law school “instructor” NOT professor — 0bama was never a professor of anything. Yet another lie from the lying liar in the white house.
