Are we watching political theater or has Pelosi read the polls and found her backbone?
Then the Governor of Louisiana continues the war on women — and I’m adding the battle statistics which show that women are really and truly dying in this war.
Every year, over 10 million women die or sustain life-threatening injuries due to complications from pregnancy, according to the World Health Organization.
In the U.S., the number of women who die from pregnancy complications on an annual basis has doubled over the last 20 years, and a full one-third of pregnant American women will suffer from some form of complication, according to Amnesty International.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control shows that black women were most likely to die during pregnancy, with 32.7 deaths per 100,000 pregnancies recorded on average. For white women that number drops to 9.5 deaths per 100,000 pregnancies, largely split along the lines of income disparity and a lack of access to women’s health services, including abortion.

Here’s a poll which finds we the people like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
As policymakers at the state and national level struggle with rising entitlement costs, overwhelming numbers of Americans agree that, over the years, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid have been good for the country.
More than likely Pelosi and other Dem politicians were starting their campaigns early. It is interesting that Jane Hamster at FireDogLake feels we have reached a Breaking Point? Where was she in 2008 when she was panting over 0bowma? Interesting that the hard core 0bots have seen the light. 0bowma wanted to kill Social Security when he was running for the white house back in 2008. So Pelosi isn’t going to stand by HER man?
Jane Hamster writes: What we’re watching is the death of the Democratic Party. Or, at least the Democratic Party as most of us have known it. The one that has taken its identity in the modern era from FDR and the New Deal, from Keynesian and the social safety net. Despite any of its other shortcomings (and they are myriad), the Democratic Party has stood as a symbol for commitment to these principles. As recently as 2006, Democrats took over the House in a surprise wave election because the public feared that George Bush would destroy Social Security, and they trusted the Democrats over Republicans to secure it. Just like George Bush, Obama now wants to “save” Social Security….by giving those who want to burn it to the ground the the very thing they’ve wanted for decades.
0bowma isn’t a democrat — he is a narcissistic Chicago politician — from the dirtiest political city in the US.
